After the break of the first round, today (Sunday) the second round of the women’s football league has rolled on the field. Bashundhara Kings maintained their winning streak by defeating Sadyapuskarani Youth Sporting 5-0 in the first match of the second phase. Meanwhile, in the second match of the day, Nasreen Sports Academy was scheduled to face Kachijhuli Sporting Club at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium at 3 pm but the match was not played.
The Kachijhuli Sporting Club could not submit the report of the Covid Test to BFF. According to the rules of the Bangladesh Women’s Premier Football League, before the first match of the second round, each team has to participate in the match by submitting the report of the Covid Test, but the match referee declared the match abandoned as Kachijhuli Sporting Club could not submit the report of the Covid Test.
According to the Bangladesh Football Federation, the Kachijhuli Sporting Club’s non-submission of the Covid Test report will be referred to the BFF’s disciplinary committee for a proper decision.
Kachijhuli Sporting Club is at number six in the points list with 6 points in seven matches. On the other hand, Nasreen Sports Academy is at number three with 10 points in seven matches.
